Patch Management
Patch management is an essential element of network security, ensuring that bug fixes and service packs addressing known software flaws are fully deployed.
Using our network management tools, patches are centrally managed and applied to all computers as each user logs on to the system. The patch management software works in the background, making efficient use of unused bandwidth, so that the user can continue working, unaware that an upgrade is taking place. This is a very powerful feature to support remote users.
Cerulean monitors newly released patches and service packs. Depending upon their severity, the patches are tested first before being deployed at client sites. We take care where patches require rebooting a system, by not automatically deploying them on critical equipment such as servers. Instead we plan an appropriate time with you to deploy these particular patches.
Our patch management software provides a comprehensive reporting framework to ensure we can advise on problematic devices and arrange a hands on call to rectify the problem.
